Job Overview-

The Physician Assistant Provides pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care, under the direction and supervision of the attending surgeon and in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the state Physician s Assistant Act. Participates in student and patient education.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant program
  • Current and active Physician Assistant licensure by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.
  • BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Goal and outcome oriented
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Atleast two years of experience as Physician Assistant.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in the management of patients with Open Heart Surgery highly desirable.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem
  • Scheduled as needed.
