The Adjunct Therapist aides in the design, implementation and evaluation of all Adjunct Therapy programming (i.e. facilitating & documenting therapeutic & psycho-education groups). Adjunct Therapist will be responsibility for ongoing monitoring, treatment implementation & clinical documentation (i.e. Initial assessments, individualized interventions, progress notes and treatment planning).

All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence. The Adjunct Therapist will demonstrate Barnabas Health's philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.

A. Masters degree related to Psychiatric Rehabilitation/Creative Arts Therapy from an accredited institution in a recognized mental health discipline. i.e. creative arts therapies, including but not limited to art, dance, drama.

B. Bachelor's degree required for Music Therapy along with Board Certification (MT-BC)

C. Bachelor's degree required for Recreation Therapist along with CTRS Certification.

D. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.


Preferred:

A. The Rehabilitation/Creative Arts Therapist licensed or credentialed by appropriate association or licensure or credentialing board ( i.e ATR-BC, LCAT, R-DMT, BC-DMT).

B. Experience working in Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, and/or Geriatrics.

The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders.
