Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (MMCSC), located in Lakewood, is a fully accredited 214-bed acute care hospital with the vast resources and growth opportunities of a major health care system. Our Mission

As a sister hospital to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (MMCSC) reaches over 11,000 community members annually via health fairs, screenings and education.

We offer a comprehensive range of ultra-modern diagnostic and treatment services, including:

• Advanced laser and arthroscopic surgical programs
• Excellent cancer treatment including an Outpatient
Infusion Unit and a newly renovated Breast Center
• Diabetes education and inpatient dialysis
• Extensive PT, OT, ST and audiology rehabilitation
programs

In addition, we’re investing $11 million in upgrades, including an expanded Emergency Department with a new Geriatric Emergency Room, renovations to include all-private patient rooms, and much more.

Several other enhancements have been made to provide superior service to Lakewood and the surrounding region, including the opening of the James and Sharon Maida Geriatrics Institute, which provides integrated inpatient and outpatient geriatric services for patients 65 and older in one convenient location.
MMCSC is represented by employees on boards of more than 30 community organizations, including area Chambers of Commerce, Ocean Monmouth Health Alliance, Safe Kids Monmouth/Ocean Counties, and the DART Coalition.
Monmouth Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus combined contribute $42 million dollars—nearly $117,000 per day—in services to the community, which represents 10% of our total operational costs.
