The provider and APN will be seeing patients at CBMC, NBIMC, Hoboken and Trinitas}.

Job Requirement:

• _{Licensed Registered Nurse in the state or New Jersey.}
• _{Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey.}
• _{Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program}
• _{ACLS certified.}

_{Essential Functions}

• _{The Pediatric Surgical APN provides care and management for patients on the pediatric surgical service in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team with an increased level of accountability,}
• _{Coordinates care for complex, medically fragile patients,}
• _{A wide degree of patient care autonomy/latitude is expected,}
• _{Outpatient/Clinic responsibilities will also be included within the scope, including complex wound care, post-op follow up, history and physical exam, and surgical consultation,}
• _{Independence with some invasive procedures required-training will be provided,}
• _{The Pediatric Surgical APN also serves as clinical leader and educator for both medical and nursing staff, providing mentorship for both in-house resident physicians and RNs,}
• _{Schedule will be majority daytime hours and will include weekend and evening call,}
• _{Primary medical center location will be Newark Beth Israel with affiliated outpatient clinical locations,}
• _{Extended coverage to additional hospitals within the RWJBarnabas Health System and outpatient clinical sites will be determined at the discretion of the Medical Director of Pediatric Surgery, RWJBH Northern Region.}
