Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in health care or a similar field.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with governmental bodies and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a large, fast-paced organization, with the ability to navigate complex systems and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Essential Functions:

Legislative and Regulatory Support

  • Monitor and track legislative and regulatory changes at both the state and federal levels.
  • Assist in gathering information from subject matter experts to evaluate potential impacts of policy and regulatory changes.
  • Support the drafting and preparation of policy documents, position papers, and regulatory submissions for senior staff review.
  • Maintain organized records of legislative and regulatory updates.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Manage correspondence with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and legislators, ensuring timely responses and issue briefings.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive databases and contact lists of stakeholders, trade associations, and partner institutions.
  • Draft newsletters highlighting External Affairs-led events across the enterprise for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare meeting notes, briefs, and summaries of industry reports for senior staff review.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Develop and distribute agendas for Executive Management and Senior Leadership meetings.
  • Onboard contracted vendors and association memberships.
  • Submit and track monthly invoices, ensuring timely processing and payment.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of External Affairs activities across the enterprise.
