Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Vice President- Cardiovascular Services for Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

  • Master s Degree in Nursing Administration, Master s Degree in Health Care Administration or other appropriate field in HealthCare Business.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • The AVP for Cardiovascular Services is the key executive leader across the inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular program including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.
  • The AVP for Cardiovascular Services direct the cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology lab, cardiac imaging, vascular lab, and ambulatory cardiac services across the service line.
  • Responsibility for operational activities and leadership for cardiovascular services at Community Medical Center.
  • The AVP will develop and maintain strong professional relationships with our community and employed medical staff and partner with our hospital leadership to grow the volume and improve the quality of the service line.
  • Demonstrates a fiscally responsible approach in preparing and executing the

budget

  • Oversees unit departmental budget for personnel, supplies, equipment and

Projects for areas of responsibilities. Demonstrates a fiscally responsible

approach in preparing the budget.

Direct areas of responsibility include the following departments:

Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Cath/Neuro Holding Area

Noninvasive Cardiac Lab

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Outpatient Hospital Based Cardiovascular Testing centers
