Cashier

Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Dietary Department manager, the cashier itemizes and totals food and beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Prior work experience in a hospitality environment

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift: Day
• Status: Per Diem (based on the needs of the department)

Essential Functions:

• Itemizes and total food and beverage orders, ring orders into the cash register.
• Collects payment from customers and makes change, maintains accuracy of the cash drawer, reconciles cash receipts to sales to verify accuracy of all transactions.
• May also maintain areas of the serving line.
