Job Overview:

The primary responsibility is to perform data information coordination. The Data Coordinator obtains, tracks, and analyzes clinical and/or quality data, assists in meeting preparation, educates staff on data and regulatory compliance, and participates in quality subcommittees. The Data Coordinator must maintain current knowledge of UNOS, Joint Commission, NJ Department of Health, and CMS regulations as it relates to the transplant programs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree of science or related health care field

Preferred:

  • Research and data experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift- 8:00am- 4:00pm
  • Monday Friday
  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for completing and submitting electronic data forms to meet federal reporting requirements
  • Generates, checks, and distributes weekly and monthly administrative and program management reports to clinical directors, hospital administrators, and hospital departments
  • Assists with survey preparation including obtaining records/data
  • Performs data quality assurance checks comparing transplant forms to primary data source documents in the EMR/patient records
  • Maintains and tracks data for heart transplant, lung transplant, and mechanical circulatory support device patients
  • Assists in quality meeting(s) and subcommittee meeting(s) preparation for heart transplant, lung transplant, and mechanical support device programs
  • Maintains policy and procedure grid including date reviewed and due date
  • Maintains databases / registries such as but not limited to UNET TIEDI, Intermacs, ELSO
