Endoscopy Technician, Lead

Job Overview:

The Lead Endoscopy Technician will assists the Endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures and assists in the preparation of the s suite area between cases. The Lead Endoscopy Tech understands the principles of asepsis and basic instrumentation. He/she works under the direct supervision of the RN.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider course
• Experience in endoscopic reprocessing and management of scopes
• Knowledgeable regarding infection control standards
• Must have SPD tech certification
• SGNA Certification a must

• Able to manage inventory and PAR levels
• Must have experience with Olympus scopes
• Able to assist with the following special procedures; EUS, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, ERCP, CRYO, Luminal Stent deployment,

• Knowledge of the following procedures
  • ERCP
  • EUS
  • EBUS
  • Bronchoscopy
• On-Call Required

Scheduling Requirements:

• On-Call Hours Required
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for GI Tech daily schedule/assignments and on-call assignments.
• Responsible for maintaining and managing supply PAR levels.
• Responsible for precepting new hire Endoscopy techs/RN s in scope processing.
• Manage equipment, PM s sends scopes out for repair.
• Participates in the annual capital process.
• Works closely with Physicians and nurses.
• Ensures that all equipment, supplies and instruments are operational/available for in-patient and bedside procedures.

Pay Range:

$ 32.00 minimum - $35.50 maximum Hourly Rate
