Job Overview:

The Lead Technologist is responsible for performing advanced radiographic procedures and supervises staff technologists.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in the sciences preferred.

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required.

Must possess a current NJ State license in applicable modality of work.

CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred.

Essential Functions:

Abides by standards established by the hospital, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Function as primary teaching technologist to the students.

Help the supervisor in developing new protocols and procedures.

Provide input to the supervisor for the evaluations of the technologists.

Follow the rules and regulations of Department of Environmental Protection (State) strictly.

Help the technologists in difficult and/or complex procedures.

Schedule daily, weekly and monthly quality control procedures for all equipment and checks for timely completion.

Initiate service calls and documents.

Maintain and operate all workstations.

Maintain harmony among staff technologists.

Maintain the department in a clean and neat condition.
