Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Manager, the Patient Satisfaction Liaison supports the delivery of services that promote a positive experience for patients and guests.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma required

Previous customer service and administrative experience/training

Proficiency in Word and Outlook

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working in an acute care setting
  • Bachelor s degree

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift: Day
  • Status: Full Time (37.5hrs.)
  • Time: 9 am 5 pm
  • Rotating weekend shifts One Weekend shift per month
  • Ability of variable shifts, when needed

Essential Functions:

  • The patient representative collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to obtain feedback from patients and guests, proactively manage patient needs, and support the response to concerns.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to: rounding in patient care areas, addressing opportunities to provide a high level of service in real-time, performing post-discharge follow-up calls, management of complaints/grievances, providing support for staff development, and assisting with promoting language service utilization.
  • Role will require coverage of all inpatient units during designated shift hours, with expectation of assisting with Emergency Department coverage, when needed.

  • Excellent ability to build and sustain professional and interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, family members, co-workers, clinical and non-clinical staff, promoting a consistent customer service focus with positive approaches
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job
  • Ability to adequately and accurately document information and maintain files
  • Ability to adapt to new initiatives and changes within the department and healthcare organization
  • Willingness to work as a team player and contribute to departmental and organizational projects, initiatives, and ideas with primary focus on process/workflow improvements
  • Ability to collaborate with department leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-talk and work independently with minimal supervision
