Job Overview:
Evaluate patients, plans and implements an appropriate physical therapy treatment program upon the referral of a physician, dentist, or podiatrist, and under the direction of the PT Clinical Supervisor and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services
Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate in physical therapy from an APTA accredited school of physical therapy.
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS Certification Required. (American Heart Association)
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

Responsibilities:
- Administers therapy treatments to patients, develops appropriate discharge plans, along with appropriate home therapy program following standard accepted therapy practice and policies and procedures of CORC and professional licensure
- Evaluates/re-evaluates appropriate parameters on each patient using standard tests and procedures; records findings in the medical record and communicates same to referring physician and other members of the healthcare team as indicated in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures.
- Documents treatment provided, response to treatment and progress in patient medical record in a timely manner in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure..
- Accurately documents appropriate charges for therapy services provided in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure
- Recommends and adjusts adaptive equipment and provides family education and recommendations regarding home safety to maximize functional performance of patients following accepted therapy practice and department policies/procedures.
- Supervises therapy assistants including but not limited to accurate and timely documentation and billing in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure.
- Supervises students appropriately; tailors supervision to student s needs, provides appropriate feedback, clarifies expectations, completes required evaluation and regularly confers with director of clinical education (CCCE)
