Qualifications:
Required:
- Master of Science in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
- Five years experience in either health or medical physics
- Certification by the American Board of Radiology
- Must meet NRC's qualifications for Radiation Safety Officer and NJDEP's requirements for Qualified Medical Physicist for quality assurance programs in diganostic x-ray imaging, computed tomography technology equipment, and mammography

Essential Functions:
- Gives formal and in formal instruction of Residents and Technologists in the various aspects of Physics and mathematics

- Initiates, supervises, performs, documents and valuates quality control of diagnostic imaging equipment. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Prepares renewals and amendment requests for Federal and State Radioactive material and tube licenses.

- Insures compliance with title 10 of the federal code of regulations chapter 28 of the New Jersey Code of Radiation Protections Federal Mammography Quality standards ACT and other applicable federal and state regulations Responsible to insure all Accreditation requirements are meet and submitted to the Regulatory agency in a timely manner

- Insures safety from Ionizing and non ionizing radiation to the patients, employees and visitors. Performs surveys and calibration and other necessary function to access radiation exposure to employees and patients.
