POSITION SUMMARY
Administer qualitative diagnostic, habilitative and rehabilitative services related to communication, cognition and swallowing disorders for inpatients in the acute care setting. Provide counseling to patients and/or their families with regard to the diagnostic finding, the therapeutic program or further referral. Assist in updating diagnostic and/or therapeutic materials and supplies. Inservice/lecture on subjects related to speech, language or dysphagia.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in speech language pathology with a minimum of one year of experience.
New Jersey state licensure in speech/language pathology,
New Jersey speech specialist certification or eligibility, certificate of clinical competence in speech/language pathology.
Minimum of 2 years acute care experience
Independent with Modified barium swallow evaluations
