Supervisor

Job Overview:

Responsible for supervising all kitchen personnel. Will be responsible for scheduling, recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating and disciplining team members. This position will be responsible for the set-up and distribution of all food and non-food items from the kitchen. Responsible for ensuring quality standards of sanitation, safety, security, food presentation and service are met or exceeded at all times. Must ensure that all standards are maintained to meet all local, state, federal and JCAHO requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a hospital Food Service Department is required.
• Excellent interpersonnel skills.
• Must have excellent critical thinking skills.
• Will interact with hospital staff, patients and visitors.

Preferred:

• Associates or Bachelor s Degree from an accredited College or University is preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Scheduling Requirements:
• 12:00 pm 8:30 pm during the week/5:30 am 2:30 pm or 12 pm 8:30 pm on weekends
• May need to come in occasionally at earlier times during the week
• Every other weekend/Holiday Rotation
• Part Time
