Job Overview:

Looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic Clinical Team working with children ages 6 - 18 years of age that are experiencing behavioral health symptoms that impede their ability to be successful. This is a support role and a wonderful opportunity for those interested in the field of behavioral health.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's or Bachelor Degree preferred with a psychology, social work or health care related field
  • Valid NJ Driver's license without restrictions

Preferred:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Prefer individuals with prior experience working with youth ages 6-18 years of age that are experiencing behavioral health symptoms that impede their ability to be successful

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 8:00 am 4:00 pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and maintains supportive relationships with consumers
  • Serves as a broker between the needs and perspective of the consumer and the goals of the treatment system; may include educating treatment providers and advocating on behalf of the consumer
  • Information sharing regarding the emergency assessment and/or screening process
  • One-on-one attention and encouragement to individuals who are undergoing the emergency assessment/screening process
  • Responsible for modeling/ coaching in the use of coping skills
  • Provides personal assistance and support during crisis episode
  • Responsible for documentation in the patient s MR, per program s policies and procedures
  • Participates in case conferences, staff meetings, case presentations, supervision and on-site/off-site trainings as assigned
  • Responsible for transporting youth to and from program
  • Follows established departmental/hospital policies and procedures and objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infectious control standards of JCMC and the host facility when conducting support to an Affiliated Emergency Service
  • Maintains established departmental and hospital policies and procedures/objectives, including confidentiality, crisis management, cultural sensitivity, etc
  • Meets customer satisfaction goals

Pay Range:

$ 19.12 Hourly Rate
