Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Per Diem Xray Technician to support 2 locations in East Brunswick and Neptune, NJ. This role will provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school graduate plus graduation from a recognized two-year School of Radiologic Technology.

Preferred:

  • Three years hospital experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Certification by American Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and NJ state license
  • BLS Certification from AHA

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Per Diem Schedule (this will support 2 locations in East Brunswick, NJ & Neptune, NJ)

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
  • Positions all x-ray generating equipment in such a manner with the imaging detector and body part using acceptable exposure factors in order to produce a radiograph of a specific body part.
  • Positions all fluoroscopic equipment in order to obtain a fluoroscopic projection of a specified body part.
  • Uses acceptable radiographic techniques.
  • Uses appropriate beam-limiting devices, such as collimators and cones.
  • Uses exposure-reducing equipment, as warranted.
